Situated on the south-west outskirts of London, Kew Gardens is one of the most interesting and beautiful places to visit in the capital. There are 300 acres containing living collections of over 40,000 varieties of plants.
The Palm House is world-famous and there are other magnificent tropical, alpine and temperate houses. Kew Gardens is one of the top 100 tourist attractions in the United Kingdom and includes a large Japanese garden and a national collection of bonsai trees.
Open: daily - 09:30 to 19:30 or dusk

Nearest tube station: Kew Gardens
Kew can be reached easily by car and public transport. The Tube is the best way to get to Kew from the centre or West End of London. Buses serve those living north or south of Kew (Ealing down to Kingston) and the neighbouring suburbs. From north London, Silverlink trains run directly to Kew Gardens station.
