Piccadilly Circus - london,
Piccadilly Circus
London
Piccadilly got its name from the ruffs or 'pickadills' worn by the dandies who used to promenade here in the late 17th century. Always busy with traffic, it is most famous for its massive illuminated, animated billboards.
It is home to the Rock Circus, a musical array of Madame Tussaud's wax models and the Trocadero centre, Europe's largest indoor virtual reality theme park, which has recently been refurbished at a cost of over £50 million.
